Material Certification & Traceability

When specified, castings receive a unique serial number which is cast on a non-machined surface, whenever possible. A barcoded production ticket bearing this serial number is collected after the casting is poured. The bar-coded tickets representing the castings poured from each ladle are assigned a heat number as they are scanned and this information is stored on computer within our Q.C. database. A test bar from every heat of gray iron and every ladle of ductile iron is poured in accordance with ASTM standards.
